During the 2025 Boao Forum for Asia, Siddharth Chatterjee, United Nations' Resident Coordinator to China accepted an interview with SFC journalist.

He stated that within the Asian ecosystem, the digital economy is thriving, and the green transition is thriving. "More investment in science, technology, engineering and math is happening."

For the five key areas that will drive future growth, he considers China has done well in these areas of artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, fintech, biotech. He points out the world also needs to make sure to bridge the digital divide around the world.
