In a world full of economic uncertainty, Asia stands at the forefront of transformation. On March 28, the Boao Forum for Asia 2025 comes to a close. Over the past four days, approximately 2,000 representatives from more than 60 countries and regions gathered in Hainan, engaging in deep exchanges and sharing insights on four major themes: The Bigger Picture, Promoting Growth, Shaping the Future, and Identifying New Drivers. The forum has demonstrated how Asia is poised to lead a new global economic paradigm.
It is noteworthy that the annual conference attracted over 1100 journalists from nearly 150 media organizations across more than 30 countries and regions, highlighting the global attention and anticipation for Asia's development.
According to the report released during the forum, Asia’s economic growth is expected to reach 4.5% in 2025, with its economic output accounting for 48.6% of the global total in terms of purchasing power parity.
There is no doubt that Asia has become the center of the global economy, and the 21st century is destined to belong to this vibrant continent. Every conversation at the Boao Forum has provided a deep interpretation of this trend. From the rapid growth of the digital economy to the accelerated pace of green transformation, from the constant innovations in technology to the disruptive changes driven by artificial intelligence, we continue to witness the powerful forces of China and Asia shaping global development.
The world is increasingly looking to Asia for solutions. In the face of geopolitical tensions, the rise of unilateralism and protectionism, and the challenges posed by climate change, China and its Asian neighbors are deepening regional cooperation and engaging in proactive multilateral dialogue. Together, they are injecting stability into the world and becoming a solid pillar of global cooperation and peace.
In a world filled with uncertainties, embracing multilateralism may be the way forward. As discussed during the forum, Asia not only brings new opportunities for economic development but also offers fresh hope for global cooperation. The Boao Forum for Asia serves not just as a platform for dialogue but also showcases the limitless possibilities of global and regional collaboration.
